Robert Enke was a goal keeper for German. his career as a football player started to scare him and made him think that he could not make it.
Robert was a good goal keeper as a child, but he would pratice/ play with teams that had older players this was a big struggle for him because it was hard for him to carry on. He would say that he could not keep up with the older ones because he "he did not have faith in himself", he was trapped in his career. one of the problems he faced when he was in the goal, was that he had a fear of the ball being shot at his goal, main because it streesed him and it would leave to a disappointment/ shame to his fans as well as team members. all this also made him have second thoughts on playing football, so he had a talk with his farther and he replied "Robert. that is not the most important thing, heaven forbid."
Roberts illness was diagnosed, with the help of his own farther. He was sent out on a Tenerife, which had done good to Robert and when he returned back to Germany, it seemed that he put all illness behind him but it did not last for long becacuse he suffered of a broken jawan injury on october 2008. this cause him to have the fear of getting up every morning, he was afraid of failing, he started to panic, without him even realising all his fear started getting stronger and stronger. One of the solutions was that he then began to go for therapy again, but this wasnt enough it was hard for him to gain back his fitness, hide his secrets about his depression, it did not take longer than two months because earlier he passed away on the 10th November 2009.
